hard to weld right.
heavy
will do alot of damage if/when it fails

Turning is imposable at any speed higher then 10mph with a welded diff. this is because the inside tire will turn at the same speed as the outside tire causing the car to keep going straight. the inside tire needs to move faster then the outside tire in order for the car to turn successfully. A welded diff keeps this from happening.
