How do you remove the oem radio out of a 1990 integra?

Default How do you remove the oem radio out of a 1990 integra?

What do I have to remove to get to the bolts?

remove the console...2 screws on the bottom of each side, then one behind the ash tray and i think 2 more in the front above the radio.

your gonna have to get behind the headunit with a wrench there are two bolts that are back there.

i remember those 2 bolts, pain in the ***. i was upside down for lord nows how long just trying to get them out!

1. Pull the knee bolsters out on each side (they just pop out but, be very careful not to break them).
2. Undo the screws that hold the center console down along with the two screws that are under the e-brake handle.
3. The center console should just pull out at this point. Now, undo the screws under the black trim around the head unit.
4. There should be a few screws on each side of the head unit and one or two under the back of the head unit that hold it in place.

Hope I didn't leave anything out. Best thing to do is get a Helms manual for your car. Best and first 15 bucks I spent on every one of my vehicles.

Shudders.. I remember that like 3-4 years ago hunched over in the passenger side...once you remove those two bolts tho it was easy sailings

yeap that was a pain in the ***
getting those two bolts
now its easy it takes me about two minutes w/ a plier
