Default Hey East Coasters - How are YOU getting to the Expo???

Well, kindof a dumb question, but it is only a 2400 mile drive for me (!!!) and I was wondering how everyone is planning on getting there? If you are tracking your R, are you gonna drive it too? If not, are you using a trailer, or shipping it some other way? Or are you gonna wuss out and fly instead?

Reason I ask is that I don't know how the hell I'm going to get my car out there safely, and back, without blowing a ton of money on renting a suitable tow vehicle.
(might end up just renting some POS and driving it out there to spectate instead... use the money to hit some east coast tracks next year)

I don't really want to put 5000 miles on the R if I don't have to

Well, anyway - looking forward to the Expo whether I'm driving or not - it's gonna ROCK

(that is one of my options Cosworth)

Although I think that a road trip that far would be KICKASS - just not in the R...

I think I'll take the ride if it's with a bunch of people in one big CW, NBP and PY caravan .

That's a long ride alone!

At SLOPI, Sean said he'd buy me plane ticket to Vegas, then we'd rent a car

Hopefully I can find the vacation time and a we-todd in need of a copilot to make my third consecutive exblo.

Not too much actually. They limit it to 100miles per day for free, but that's nothing a phillips head screwdriver wouldn't fix.. it'd suck not having a working gauge cluster tho.. no flashing 9000rpm goodness lol

Get RealtoR or AssNickel. And, we can shoot our own Hummer commercial... cutting across the track and rolling an R to the finish line.

Some prices to consider:

Trucks:
Porsche Cayenne S: $269/day multi-day
Hummer H2: $249/day multi-day
Hummer H1 Convertible: $345/day
BMW X5 4.4i: $169/day multi-day

Cars:
Honda S2000: $169/day
AC Shelby Cobra (replica): $249/day multi-day
Nissan 350Z roadster: $229/day multi-day

Of course, there are other more expensive options, like a F360 spyder for $1249/day, a 1959 caddy convertible (pimpin') for $300/day, 996 cabrios for ~400/day, F355 Spyders for $750/day, etc

oh man - I would love to rock the Caddy - that would be so sweet.

Alas - my budget dictates that I will probably be rolling in a lowly focus
(I will be sure to slap some Type R stickers on it though )
