I think you should rephrase your question. You need to understand that not all turbo are created equal. Are you talking about psi(boost) on a td04 or a T70 turbo? Because if I say it can handle 9psi and you go buy a T88 and run 9psi you might blow your motor at 8krpm!
You shouldt ask how much boost because boost isnt the limiting factor, horsepower is. You should be asking how much can a stock block handle.

Exactly. Boost is irrelevant. Manifold pressure is just a number. It's the horsepower that the cfm from the turbo produces. 9psi from a smaller turbo will generate less horsepower than a larger turbo @ 9psi.
id like to know as well. how much boost is safe for a stock sleeve b18c1 with just pistons and rods...

can someone sum this for me also. I been always wondering which STOCK SLEEVES is stronger? B16,B18C,B18B ? just wondering from those three, which one are the strongest. Also is the b18b sleeves the same design and same strength as the b18c ?
im not sure if this is correct but i dont think any b series honda sleeves are "stronger" than others. they are all made the same way with the same material. the only difference is thickness (due to bore). thus the b20s, with a larger bore, have thinner sleeves than the b18s and give it the effect that they are "weaker".
