Default How often should you clean/replace filter on CAI?

I searched for this but couldn't find anything. Any of you that have a CAI, how long do you go before you need to clean or replace your air filter? Just need a general idea
Thanks

I would check the filter every 6 months or so. The K&N can get pretty dirty before it starts to affect airflow - so cleaning intervals will vary. They do clean pretty easy though.

Depends on where and how, and how much you drive. If there is lots of fine dirt in the air (near construction, agriculture, dirt roads etc.) or you race or want max performance, you should clean more often (every 3 months or less). If you don't race, or live where there is lots of dust, or are lazy like me, then once every 6-12 months is probably ok.
Actually, it would be interesting to see a dyno of a car with a clean filter, a moderately dirty filter, and a filthy filter...see what the power diff. is....
