My opinion is that I think it's a bit late in the season for you to spend a chunk of $$$ on R compounds just to run them once or possibly twice and have to bag them up and store them for next year which BTW is OK but, not the best thing to do.
Both 205 and 225 tires will fit, you won't need to roll the fenders as someone mentioned. I ran/run 225/45/15's with very little rubbing issues.
The issue about size on the 6" wide stock rims is the squareness of the tire. While many R owners report a squirm or more vague feeling with turnin when they put just the 205/50/15 Azenis or similar tire on as a replacement, the feel or squirm is directly related to how the tire fits the wheel or doesn't quite fit if you get my drift. The 225/45's will be even more out of square and at least just as much squirm, I'd hypothesize.
I solved the turn in issue by, just running 7" wide Kosei rims up front, stock rims in rear with 205/50/15 Azenis all around. Turn in is great, problem solved.
If you can get your hands on a set of USED either 205/50's, 225/45's or 225/50's and run them for your last DE or so, you'd get a good feel for the R comp tire and have an idea what you'd want to do next season PLUS, you'd save a bit of money.
Although I ran used Hoosier R3so3's I'm sure rodney would agree that depending on the use and abuse of these particular tire. I wouldn't suggest running them used. Khumo V700's tend to be more robust in the used catagory. The Toyo Ra1's are also a decent bet and have a positive following. I have not driven on them however and cannot comment, nor can I comment on Yokohama A032R's.
The other issue is the season which we are in. It's colder and tends to be wet. Now, while R comps are decent in wet, as long as there is no pooling, they tend to take more time to heat up to grip, and knowing how you tend to drive (agressively), I'd say hold off and use a set of Azenis. As a matter of fact, Limerock last year in the cold and wet is the first, actually second performance driving I did on them, the first was the day before at an autocross just to get used to them and scuff them in, and I was extremely impressed with them, especially for the price. I had just come off of the Hoosier's at that point, but they were too far gone and were corded in multiple spots.
If you are really into R comps, then check the classifieds here for some used ones, or even the home NASA site on their chat boards where all things race tend to get sold and bought.
Or you could wait till next season and order a brand new set with me.
Personally I say play it safe, save some money this season and the tires, and wait till next spring.

I have used A032R's and RA-1s in 205/50 size on the OEM rims with great results.
If you are just starting out - I think you will be very happy with the increased grip and progressive breakaway both of these tires have.
Later when you get more experienced you can move up to a 7" rim if inclined and use some of the high $ tires.
