Default strange.. strange power door lock issues..

a few months ago my power door locks decided to stop working for a few hrs, then miraculously recovered themselves. They've been fine for the past 2 months or so, and now they've decided to fail again. This time more permanent, so it seems. They've been out for 3 days now, but still work occationally, say.. twice a day at best. I checked the fuse and that's not it, if it was i'd think they would just stay dead, not resurrecting every couple of hours for a span of 10 minutes. any ideas would be appreciated, cuz i'm stumped. Forth gen SI if it matters. thx in advanced

more then likely it is your power door lock controller. mine went out on my fourth gen and it did exactly what you said. it would work off and on for about a two months till it went out completely. i found one on PO for twenty bucks, replaced it, problem solved.

Its in the driver side door, towards the front. Its usually easy to fix. Open the thing up and look on the back side where the solder is. Your looking for any cracks in the solder. Sometimes they're hard to find. It'll be a fine line around the metal going through the board. When you find it, just resolder.
