Default ITRCA

Why is it that no one really participates in ITRCA message board? Is it because it's not convenient like this board... or what? It's ironic that we have an ITR only site, but no one really participates. I mean just look at the S2000 owners, A4 owners, etc. I think we should do something about it before we just scatter everywhere. Any comments?

p.s. To the webmaster of ITRCA, would it be possible to revamp the message board there w/ a format like H-T.com? I really hate those e-mail type message forums... where you get link after link of answers all over the page. Thanks.

[Edit] I did contribute to the web-site fund via paypal.com... did you? [Edit]

Yeah, they need to either get zeroforum or UBB, but I'm sure they cost a lot more to implement. I wonder if they can get a "zeroforum-lite"?

http://www.ezboard.com is great and free. yes, there will be ads, but there are ads on this site.

but if you do want to pay (your registered members can even contribute money to the "community chest") you can have no ads at all.

I've used ezboard for years on my mountain bike site (www.trials-online.com) and it works great. Most of the features of the big guys like ubb.

occassionally I go over to the ITRCA forum, but it isn't very active. Overall, I prefer this style format since it allows for greater flexibility and it is easier to indtify everyone. I remember a while back ITRCA was having some problems with people posting stupid crap and pretending to be multiple people.

I think it would be great if ITRCA could implement some type of UBB board. As I think about it didn't he try that not too long ago?

The ITRCA Board Is ok but Im not a fan of the layout.

I had actually created a board That is ITR Only (Site in Signature) But There didnt seem to be much interest. People joined but never posted.

One of the things that I love about HT.com Is that Its not just ITR Owners that come to this forum But also Si, GSr, etc. Owners Even some that no longer own Hondas But about 95% of them are performance oriented and Love their Car

This is THE Type R webboard. Pretty much every Type R owner on the net comes here. Well, all the cool ones anyway...

Isn't vBulletin Free?

I know why I'm not active on ITRCA anymore. The proxy blocked the site at work! Bastards!!!

I thought about implementing a better messageboard over at ITRCA, but its my opinion that there are already too many good messageboards out there. You have this one, H-A.net, BSeries, etc etc. It gets overwhelming. If I had had more time to invest in the site, I'd probably have gone with UBB or vBulletin, but at the time, boardhost.com was free and the threaded look was something different...plus it didnt require you to register for yet another forum.

I don't want to sound negative, but maybe if the ITRCA board had a better message system, people wouldn't go to other sites in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I love H-T.com site, but wish we were more organized as a group.

Are there still talks going on about shifting ITRCA from an unofficial site to an official car club?

Brett, if you need any help with ITRCA, let me know. I'm strapped for time, but there's always time for ITRCA. I'm happy to say my region has grown and I am very happy with the outcome. We should get all the region leaders together to talk shop!!

Thanks,
Victor Perri II
