This doesn't look like the typical JDM R header. Just wondering if they differ depending on which year you get.

If the collector is 2.5", then it's a JDM 96 Spec ITR header.

Can't tell by looking at the picture. Perhaps if you get a close up of the bracket or something to help identify it.

 

Well i guess i'll have to try and meet up with this guy. Don't wanna get shafted.

 

Just bring a small ruler or tape measure to check the ID of the collector since you're going to meet the guy/gal/seller.

But I sort of question this purpose since you're still getting stuck with a heavy *** cast iron header. Totally unsure of what kind of power gain (if any) would be produced by a 96 Spec header too.

 

Yeah. Just wanted a 2.5" collector that's all. Oh well if not I'll just learn something new.

 

How much is he asking? Perhaps you can find a good deal on a JDM 4-1 (one-piece).

 

it's on ebay for 10 bucks now. I think it's not a 2.5".

Or a stock USDM header...

 

I'm pretty sure it is not a stock USDM header. The bottom is not covered up like the usdm.

Hrm. You're probably right. Been a while since I've seen a stock one.

 

you can tell its a US by the holes in the downpipe hanger bracket. US uses a stud type bracket and Japanese is the hole type.

 

looks like my CTR header... with 2.5 collector

 

It is a 96'spec JDM Header! It does not have a 2.5 collector. It is a little longer than the stock USDM header. Got one for sale! IM if interested...........
