Default Cooling Fan wont turn on...

My fan motor (passenger side... not sure if this is the AC condenser fan or main cooling fan?) burned out the bearings, so I replaced the motor, and now the fan wont turn on! Car heats up when sitting in traffic now, and the fuse seems fine. Any ideas?

Thanks.

The condensor fan (pax side) should turn on when AC is commanded regardless of coolant temp. If fan doesn't engage when AC is commanded, then you have defective fuse or condensor fan relay.

good luck

Thanks for the advice, I'll try those suggestions...

Also, it seems as if the cooling fan (driver side) also will not turn on, unless the condenser fan is running? Could this be a bad wire somewhere? Are the fans looped together in the wiring? Either way, the cooling fan should turn on if the motor is warming up, right? The fuse looks fine, but the fuse connectors look like there is a bit of oxidation on them... I'll try cleaning those to get a better connection...

Check thermostat, fan sensor, temp sensor, and fan relay

If the AC is turned on with condensor fan coming on, and radiator fan(driver's side) didn't come on, you most likely have either 1) bad radiator fan, bad radiator fan wiring, bad radiator fan fuse, or bad radiator fan relay. It is possible, but less likely that the radiator timer unit is faulty and not providing power to radiator fan relay.

good luck
