looking for a dyno chart
does anyone have a dyno of a b16a with the following BASIC mods
CTR pistons
CTR cams
ITR IM
ITR TB
JDM ITR 4-1 header
those are the basic mods i would like to see what kind of number the b16a would be putting down with these

There is a cupple CTR dynos there...
I don't think any B16's with exactly those mods though.

why thank you for the helpfuly info [end sarcasm], thank you for adding absolutely nothing helpful at all, i have searched the internet already and i am trying to find out how much power this will make, it costs ******* MONEY for pistons, and money is something i am short on, so if you can afford to buy me a set of CTR pistons w/ rings and any other set of pistons w/ rings to make the power i want then be my guest, other then that how about only posting something useful, if you can't do that then stay out of my thread please
i have a b16 shortblock w/ctr pistons.......and a type r head and trans.......it's quick, and it's all stock, i have ieh and thats it.......i would recomend a good chipped ecu, i'm running an ericks racing one and msd, with some like prelude injectors....but the thing is pretty quick, i shift it at about 9000 everyday.....
well i would not buy a "chipped" ecu, why? because they are garbage, i have delt with them before and like i said, they are garbage, i am thinking about getting a spoon sports ECU (an ACTUAL spoon ecu) but i need to find out what the rev limit and vtec changeover point is for it, and the gearing is definately helping you, but that is not an option for me because i have a CRX and while Hasport does now make a kit to use a hydro tranny, i will not be buying that because i already have a b18a swapped into my crx and i am going to reswap for a b16a and that is why i am looking for this information because those are the same BASIC mods it will have
Trending Topics
yea ebay chips are garbage.......i'm running a real ericks racing computer......i have hondata but i wanna finish my short block and get it tuned once....so this is what i'm running for now......
cool......how much did it run you? what is the specs for it? i still think i want to run a spoon ECU because it is geared more towards what i want my car to be (road racing, even though their ECU is more circuit oriented)
WTF are you talking about one size fit all? spoon ecus are manufactured for each specific car application, and once again i want to keep it as stock honda as possible, therefore i do not want hondata (i know hondata is a superb product, but i have had VERY VERY bad luck w/ aftermarket parts and am getting fed up w/ that so i am just going to get as much stock honda stuff as possible)

don't be a jack *** when you reply, no one will help you if you are. Spoon doesn't make anything for the B series any more, they are focusing on K series. The only way you can get a "Spoon" ECM is to have someone chip the ECM you have, or buy some one else's Spoon ECM and re-chip that to your car. Seriously, if you can't work aftermarket parts, then I don't know if you should really get into building a car. Hondata has been proven to be better than the chipped ECM and that includes Spoon, JUN, Feel's.. etc. That's all the JDM companies really ever did, was chip the ECM. HTH!

ok i am not being a jackass i am asking a question....and here is one for you WTF are you talking about spoon makes nothing for the b-series? uhhh...take a look here pal

click on electronic system and then sports computer...so before you go spouting off what you THINK is the gospel truth, know the whole story first....second of all the Spoon ECM is designed to work w/ stock components as well as THEIR components, it is designed w/ midrange gains in mind, i have been researching this for a long time, its not a cheap ******* ebay burn chip which are garbage and i would never put my hands on, it is a REPROGRAMMED ECM, i know that hondata is good, but i am going to keep the car mainly stock, and BTW its going into a ******* CRX so its not like i am not "modifying" cars, oh and BTW i modify my car the way that I, so thanks for your OPINION....and i have done plenty of building on plenty of engines to know what i am doing and what kind of goals i have in mind, this thread is for a dyno chart with the mods that i listed, if you cannot supply one, please do not add useless garbage to this thread.....so go ahead and keep thinking that spoon is ONLY making K-series parts, i will continue knowing the truth because i research everything i do extensively before i do it......

Myself and others posted to try to help you to make a decision and you start cussing, swearing, and insulting. Grow up a bit pal. Nobody cares if you take their advice or not, if you want to blow your $$$ on a spoon ECU instead of buying a cheaper more effective Hondata and having it properly tuned to YOUR car then go for it. Your reasoning is just flat out stupid though. To keep it stock? Both are aftermarket and a computer takes 30 seconds to swap. You certainly sound like you know what you're doing.
I think there's a dyno chart exactly like you want at:

josh where are you at??? i'll fill in for him right now..."SPOON SUCKS!!!!"
people are trying to give you advice and you are just shooting them down??? since you were on a budget for your ctr pistons...what makes you think you can afford a spoon ecu?

I CAN afford a spoon ECU and i CAN afford aftermarket parts but i am chosing to use OEM honda parts so i have no trouble w/ smog (part of the troubles in the past) AND no troubles w/ aftermarket parts not working well, SPOON ECU'S are reprogrammed to increase midrange power and shifts the rev limiter and vtec changeover points ever so slightly for overall better drivability, hate to break it to you but these ECU's are designed to enhance a STOCK motor, such as the spoon crate motors, say spoon sucks all you want, i dont care, fact of the matter is its my car and i am going to mod it how i want, have i once said that the hondata s200 is a shitty unit? NO, however it is not something that you can just take ON and OFF being it is a PIGGYBACK unit, and since my experience with aftermarket (read NON-HONDA) parts has been less then gratifying i am chosing to stick with as much OEM honda manufactured parts as possible, is that such a hard concept to grasp? not everyone wants to go all out on their engines, i have been there and done that

wrong, yourself and others tried to FLAME ME for my decision to use a spoon ECU rather then your precious hondata, i acknowledged that the hondata unit is GOOD but i do not want that, then you and your cronies chose to continue to try to impress upon me to go buy a hondata like you guys are car salesman, like i just said the spoon ECU is designed w/ a stock motor in mind, and just because you do not like it and you have had no experience w/ it does not mean you should flame someone for wanting to buy one, oh and BTW the spoon ECU IS tuned w/ a B16a but i wouldn't know that because hondata is GOD and everything else is **** right?.....:rolls eyes:....my reasoning for wanting to stick with AS MUCH OEM HONDA PARTS AS POSSIBLE is 2 fold, to maintain honda reliability, quality and tolerances, AND to pass smog without getting shitted on by the BAR, if you can grasp that (you might not be able too because you might not live in california where SMOG ***** are rampant), now the hondata s200 is a PIGGYBACK computer, which means it is not just a quick change how you outlined, once again i have never said that a hondata unit is bad, what i have said is that i am going to get a Spoon ECU and regardless of what you would like me to get i won't, why? because its my car and i will do with it what i like, if you dont like it, you can surely pay the $295 for the hondata unit and give it to me, i will then resell it and use the money for something else....so because i want to use all OEM honda parts i dont know what i am doing? uhhhhh right......so let me reiterate the point of this thread....to see if ANYONE HAS A DYNO CHART OF A B16A W/ THE COMPONENTS THAT I LISTED ABOVE, anything other then that should be left out of this thread because it does not pertain to it.....sweet ******* christ i acknowledge the hondata and how good it is and you dont like that, i have a different OPINION then you and you dont like that, you are just like a damn woman....

Spoon < Hondata
A buddy of mine had a setup just like yours and he spun a rod bearing because of detonation.
