Did a search and nothing. Basically, my friend has his rear seat and carpet from his 96 ek hatch and I was wondering what kind of mods would I have to do to make this fit into my 93 eh hatch? Thanks guys.

my suggestion is look at the cargo area of both and see how well they match. Otherwise you're gonna hvae to do some cutting and sewing. They prolly fit right up to the backseats however.

 

I've been searching my *** off but it seems nobody has ever decided to put ek backseats in their eg......I guess everyone is only interested in putting dc2 seats in their eg's.

dumb question: why? the ek seat isn't anything special or better than your eg one.

 

It's not a dumb question because I don't have my backseats so ek backseats are better than nothing....thank you please move on.

 

no back seats are the best, but if you HAVE EK rear seat then see if they will fit if they don't see what can be done to make them git its pretty self explanatory if you have the seats and you say you do so go get of ur *** and do it

 

I don't have the EK seats in my posession....my friend has them. I was trying to do some research first before I got it from him. Another one...thank you move on.

 

Look man you misunderstood that one guy when he said "dumb question" - he wasn't saying your question was dumb, he was saying HIS question was dumb.

Anyways they probably will not fit because when you swap in DC2 seats into the EKs you have to swap the DC2 covers onto the EK seat backs because they are not compatable.

My honest advice is find one of the thousands of sets of discarded EG rear seats and "thank you move on" like you keep telling everyone else that's trying to help you out.

My bad to the above posters, it's just that I never got a yes or no or don't even bother, everyone was either interested in why I was doing it or try it and tell us what happens. I don't have the backseats yet and it's pointless to even get them from my friend if I won't be able to use them.....so like 90% of us, I was trying to do some research before obtaining an item....didn't mean to hurt any feelings.

Don't sweat it bro. It's frustrating to look for answers and only get questions sometimes.

I'm sure you could find some nice Civic rear seats in your area.

What front seats do you have now? What year and color is your car?

 

It's a white 93 cx hatch, I just recently converted everything from blue to black except the seats and carpet. I got some black front seats(from a 94 si hatch) from a friend and my other friend has his black carpet and rear seats from his ek. If I were able to use both of those pieces, my conversion would be complete. What do you know about aftermarket carpets? Do they come with door sills? I think I'll just try to find rear seat upper from a teg coupe and rear seat bottom from a teg sedan.
