I wasn't there. It was a CGI driving school but guess what kind of cars were there?
F40, (3) Modena, F355, Mondial.... etc. It was a Ferrari day I'm beating my head for not going!!!
I've never seen an F40 in real "action" before. Whoever went to that event, please post some pics!
Obviously the F40 driver couldn't extract the full potential of his car cuz my friend passed him in his RX7.

 

I was there. It was a pretty awesome day. It's not everyday that you get to be on the track with an Ferrari F40, 360 Modeno, 355 and Mondial. And it's not everyday that you get to pass a 355 and Mondial (a little boasting). There were also several NSXs (6 I think) there (all instructors). Yes, your friend in the Red RX7 was extremely fast. He was in my same run group and he passed me a twice and each time it was as if I was standing still. Do you know what kind of lap time he runs at Gingerman? I reviewed my last two session on video tape and my best lap was a 1:46.6, so I felt pretty good with that time considering it was my first time to Gingerman. There was an instructor there with a black Type-R. He did pass me on my second to last session and I was able to hanging with him for a couple of laps, until I almost ran out of fuel (my car sputtered on turn 9...doh!!!). Sorry, but I forgot to take my camera (doh!!!), so I do not have any pictures

Wai, I had a friend there in a Porsche 993, He said he would catch the F-40 in the corners but when they hit the straight he has never seen anything faster on the track in his life. This guy drive at about 2 dozen track days a year with the Porsche but he couldn't get over the straightaway speed of the F-40

I was up there last year when the Ferrari guys were up there. I have pics of when I was up there, but they are not digital

I know I have a few pics of the F40, I was just amazed at how wide those rear tires were... damn, must be rough.

 

His best time was like 1'36"XX but he said he couldn't beat his best time when he was there with the Ferraris (but still good enough to pass the F40 ). He would be there again on Sept 24th. I'll be there too. I know that he has removed the AC and power steering since the last event, so I'm guessing he would be flying all over the place!

Is it a yellow 993 C4 by any chance? If yes I think I met him (Gino) last year at Gingerman. He was there with his brother Rudy with a 348. I rode with both of them before. Very very nice experience.
