Congrats. If you've never driven RWD before, make sure you are extra careful and don't push it quite as hard as you did your ITR. At least not yet.

Also, make sure you break in the motor for at least 600 miles.

I did the same last week. Moved from a 2000 ITR to a '03 S2k. I LOVE this car! Feels so much tighter than the R. Can't wait to break her in and start auto-x her next year. My only concern is choosing the right auto-x tires. The Azenis were an easy choice for the R, but I'm still researching choices for the S.

Hey,
I just got my S in September and did my first autox yesterday with it.
Wow - the car is awesome .. it was raining too, so I got play around with it a little.

Just be careful, driving RWD is completely different and WAY MORE FUN then front wheel drive....

I made the same move a little over a year ago. A Phoenix Yellow 01-0952 used to be mine. The Type R is a little more raw in driving experience. Damn, I miss that car. But then again, I miss all of the cars I have owned so I guess that comment doesn't carry much weight.....

Damn lol alot of itr and integra owners switching to the s2k. Not bad, i cant get over how bad *** this car drives and just the car over all. I must say i enjoy the more "luxurious" feel and smoothness versus the itr...and it still pulls hehe

Don't take turns with too much gas in the rain.. it will turn around more easier than you think.. I'd rather have an fwd with lsd but hey rwd isn't that bad.

Amen to that.

I was looking into purchasing the 04 S2K, but it will probably end up postponing my retirement by 3 years

Trailing throttle oversteer (TTO) applies to FWD and AWD cars as well.

Integra is much more forgiving, as is most FWDs.

thankz for all the replies. I am now reading header intake and exhaust do pretty much nothing for the car, thats wack but its all good. I intend to get an intake just for it to sound nice the rest goes to having a pretty car hehe.

I know several people that have made that switch personally, and eventually, I will do the same.

well you can just remove the top of the air box to get the sound. This should show you how the car howls at low rpms and at idel. But believe me the car is mighty mean with an open filter. As with all S2k intakes you want one that doesnt suck air from the engine bay, especially since the s2k preformance is sensitive to heat

It was my understanding that removing the top of the airbox makes the car lose power?

Just bite the bullet and get an intake. You bought a 33k car (brand new), baby and spoil it!

Yep, ever seen the stock headers for an S2000? They are tubular steel - no cast iron **** here!!

Honda really "done good" on this one...

Congrats!! Next spring for me, I hope to find a very gently used 03 or 02. No 04 for me, it's stupid, but I can't give up that 9k redline.
