Default Fuel Filter?

I was reading online that replacing the fuel filter on a car every year is a good thing to keep the top notch performance of the car. It wasn't some no-name place on the internet either. My car has 18k miles on it now.....is it a good idea to get a new one? If so, is the AEM a good replacement or what about the Bosch? Thanks in advance guys.

Alright guys...then i will go ahead and change it. One more question. What gains if any could be had with getting an AEM fuel filter against a stock one? Or maybe even a Bosch? I am going to be modifying my car soon with an AEM intake and other goodies...probably not going to exceed 180 whp. Just a couple of bolt ons and a dyno tuning session. Is it worth it to get something like this???

I replaced my OEM with a Bosch @ 27K. Cut up the old filter, you would be shocked at the amount of sludge that accumulates inside.

there is absolutely no difference at all with the AEM filter compared to the Bosch. All you pay for is the name which is costly considering that it makes no difference at all. If you think about it, if a fuel filter is high flow then it is not filtering very well cause it has to go through a screen and if it is supposidly high-flow then it is a crock of ****.
