My worst Nightmare almost came true (Thieves trying to steal my car)
Well this long weekend my mom, dad and I planned to drive down to Texas and visit some of our family, so on Friday i parked my car outside their house and decided to go in my dads SUV… Have you ever had a feeling that something bad might happen even before it happens? Well that is the feeling I got, so i pulled all my fusses out from my engine compartment (Smart move on my side).
Well when i returned tonight from Texas i found that my steering column was tore up beyond repair!!! And they tried there dammed best to hot wire it but failed to get that sucker started. By the looks of it they tried the screwdriver, wires are all ripped and look like they thought my car started like a GM and push some rod on the bottom?!?
Now I have to call in to work in the morning and hit the junkyards to fix this. The worst part is that the neighborhood where my parents live is very nice and never had any thefts; ever before this…well not that I know of and they have been there since 1993.

Nice neighbourhoods are the best places to hit. Most people think like you did. Nothing will happen. Plus the police presence isn't as heavy.
Ever think maybe someone you knew, or someone you knw told someone that you were leaving? I've heard of this happening before. You mention to someone you know, and they might say it to someone else... like you won't be in town. What's the odds of this happening while you are gone? Still possible, but might be something to think about, especially if theft rarly ever happens.
