Default What tires ???

What kind of tires is everybody using ???

Pros - Cons

I'm looking into buying some new tires as I'm getting tired of the RE92's and would like to put some decent rubber on my stock rims. Any suggestions / recommendations.

I was considering Toyo T1-S or a set of Khumo 712's.

I currently drive a 2000 Base

i've heard nothing REALLY good things on the TS-1.
the A520's have good reviews as well, but two things -- 1. treadwear is low, 2. a lot of road noise generated.

Well, I've got the 712's and for the money you just can't beat em. I think tirerack might still have a few AVSi's in stock too.

Default Personally,..

..I hated the AVSi's. They did wear well and had good SHEER grip, but, they did not communicate at all. They wouldn't howl, screech or make a sound, instead they would simply let go, and were next to impossible to recover! Perhaps I can attribute this to the size I was using [215*45*17], but still the overall charataristics of a tire will be comprable across sizes. Also, in even mildly wet conditions they were horrible, I couldn't even use 1/2 throttle otherwise they would spin and slip, regardless of how lond i drove or the degree of moisture.
Look into the Potenza re730's, the Kuhmos 712's or the Falken Azenis.
Currently Im using the Bridgestone Potenza so2 pole positions in size above, I really cant praise these tires enough, seriously they are amazing. Excellent grip, communication, and slide recovery is almost too easy!
All good tires w/ reasonable pricing!
