Default Impression of Australian DC5 Integra typeR

i did a test drive on the new typeR today, (Blue with Blue interior and RECARO) it was awesome, although it is not as hard core as the DC2, but overall i like it, and i am thinking of trading my 2000 Prelude VTiR with that, time to get my gf to learn to drive manual. But i will still keep my DC2.
The engine seems to rev hard, its got a lot of torque, it pulls, but i dont like the gearbox, coz it is geared for 8400rpm rev and it cut off at 7900rpm, so it is a lil bit too short. Clutch is very good on this one, bites and launch the car nicely. a lil bit too light. I guess we have the JDM gearbox.
Suspension is stiff, as well as the chassis, driving position is nice, brake is not bad even though there is no brembo there, but the disc is huge(JDM disc). Seats are too big for me, the old RECARO fit asian better, gearknob no more titanium, its aluminium now. I like the finish of the interior, the way the door close, and all the plastic quality. One thing i hate most is the car sits really high, and it gives you a lot of body roll and also the i-VTEC engine doesnt look as aggressive as ours.

couldnt give a review on the acceleration, coz i have been driving my DC2 too much, but i can be certain that its got heaps more torque.

suspension still feel very tight and stiff, it is as good or better than stock DC2, but it is not as chuckable though as it has got more weight.

Does it come with the same Strut Tower Bars? I thought I saw a couple of pictures and didn't see a front strut tower bar. Is their a cross brace under the car and in the trunk, they make a "Large" difference. Thanks for the review.

No "RED BRAKES".................

i saw the front upper tower bars, doesnt look as good, but they are still there. I didnt see any stock front lower arm bar, but i saw the one at the back, and no more bars in the boot, guess that is why it is not tail happy anymore which is sux coz it is harder to throttle steer the car already.
