yeah def need traction what kind of tires did you use and how much wear? 60ft of 2.4 is pretty high with that wild of a setup you should be able to hit 13's on good street tires no problem

Thats what I"m thinking considering you have all that work done to it, that thing should be stupid fast, your traps are kind of low, but I understand its your first time out, so go take another stab at it.

Your 60ft is your weak point, did you roast your tires or bog out of the hole at 3000rpm? When I first started dragging my Integra, 2.4 60ft was the best I could get, maybe 2.3sec with a lucky spin and grab. I then switched to BF Goodrich G-Force T/A drag radials,205/50r15. That got me 2.2 60ft. With about 20 passes worth of practice, I managed to get 2.0-2.05sec 60ft consistently. That's launching at 6500rpm and slipping(not dumping) the clutch as fast as I can without the engine bogging. The drag radials are street legal, and I've driven on them all summer.

I still wondering why your trap speeds are so low though. Were you bogging off the line?

Get some traction bars like the Jimfabs ones or DTRs and just practice your takeoff, don't be afriad to eat up the clutch, just practice, practice and more practice.

Shet takes time

if u make like 2 more passes, u will have consistant mid-high 13's...u should easily be able to get 2.2 outta those tires. My first time to the track on stock bald tires I didn't pull anything worse than a 2.3

good luck bud!

you should be hitting 13s with an engine like that. Don't laucnh at 3000-3500 launch at 5k or over. I think you just have to work on your driving, like everybody says 2.4 60ft. times say either you have absolutly no traction at all, or need to work on your launch.

*edit - sell me your engine

Uhhh Ya I agree with the traction issue that will be a very hard task to hit a low 13 on street tires let alone 13.0. Your best bet will be to buy a set of the mickey tompson street drags radials they are basically a slick but they have one rib down the side of them that makes them street legal.

Who did your head? I think you main problem is it hasn't been tuned. 223 peak HP means nothing. What was it making at 7000rpm?

Hmmm,
the 60 foot time is not a surprise with the tyre and power output.
HOwever as previously stated the trap speed should be much higher.
I run a standard GSR motor with I/H/E and ran a 14.3 at 100mph. (DOT tyres)
Faster shifting is the only thing I can think of unless your motor is not performing.

There is the old tale of practice makes perfect.
Give it a few more runs before you give up on 13's.
