Default Alternator PROBLEM !!!! HELP!!!
just installed a new belt and the alternator is now screaming........i loosened it a bit until the noise went away but now the belt is too loose.......any ideas

it's probably getting hot, what engine do you have, you could loosen the belt at other parts too.

cant be getting hot.... ....car hasnt been driven for a week.....B18C

anyone else...is there a way to lube the alternator....or adjust the belt elsewhere

when my belt makes noises i tighten it and the noises go away.
