Default JDM ITR tranny or SMSP header?

Every winter I try to have one major project for my car. This winter I am debating between a new tranny and a new header. The car is a '91 civic standard with a '00 JDM ITR motor.

I currently have a cable Y1 tranny with stock LSD. The gearing is similar to a GSR tranny. I am considering a 4.78 JDM ITR hydro tranny. To run this tranny I would also have to purchase the Hasport conversion ($250), but would be able to sell my y1 tranny for about $600. Estimated total cost ~$1200

Motor has Civic Si AEM CAI, Comptech 4-2-1, 2.5" exhaust, CM flywheel run with Kenji chipped p28. I am considering the SMSP header. To run this header, I would also have to purchase an aftermarket crossmember ($300), but I could likely sell my Comptech header for about $250. Estimated total cost ~$1100.

Which mod is more worthwhile? Opinions?

hmm...
if you gotta deal on the good jdm itr tranny...imo pick it up..especially if it's the 98 spec. those are becoming harder to come across. you can always get a header later.

if yer gonna replace yer header..i believe you can get some cash for the old one you have now..so that will help. the only thing with smsp is the wait period. u might wanna look into a dtr header if the wait period is an issue for you..
