Default apexi v-afc 2 or hondata s100

i am building a high compression all motor d16. i like the vafc 2 with the new additions and the better adjustability and the cam sensative shift light. Then again hondata s100 is very good as well.
which one is best
and call me ricer if you will but i like the look of the vafc as well

Hondata is much better then a VAFC2. The hondata has more features and is a better product all on the whole.

Hondata hands down. You have so much more options with the Hondata. Very tuner friendly(well if the tuner knows what they are doing). You also do not need upgrades to your fuel such as fpr or fuel rail w/ the Hondata.

I have always thought hondata is superior, but what is the price for hondata if I have a stock d16z6 ecu? Do I need to buy one with a chip port? I dunno, just give me a price range for everything on a s100 unit. I have a tuner with the s200 and program to do all the stuff

go to http://www.c-speedracing.com

Hondata ahnds down. Spend the extra 50 bucks and get s200. Data logging, boost option, full throttle shifts, launch control, etc etc...way more options than s100

I posted this same question a couple of days ago, and since then I have done quite a bit of research on this subject. Hondata is plug-n-play, AFC2 requires splicing of wires. The Hondata, as you know, has tons of advantages over the VAFC - but you are interested in cost. Well, I have a 99 Si with 0B2, of course, and in order to have Hondata, you have to have OB1. The site says something like "add $450 for OB2" for an ECU changover I am assuming.
Also, although the base price for S100 is like 250-sumthin, you have to consider dyno time for either, conversions necessary, or if you don't have dyno access, or are feeling squirley, you need to get all the additional software and readup and tune it yourself. All in all, Hondata price could range from 300 installed by you with basemap (no tune) to over 800 fully tuned - for the S100.
Most people that I have talked to that have any experience with ECUs say that the Hondata is well worth it and don't mess with that blingy crap. I personall like the look of the new VAFC, but looks ain't got jack crap to do with performance.

VAFC2 is on sale at jdmhondaparts.com for $299. Hondata posts prices for all their systems - $245 for S100. $295 for S200 and then you add $ for each additional capability. Hondata really has their crap together.

sounds great guys. The hondata was less than I expected. Either system I purchased would need to be tuned by a shop. I dont mind spending the extra money on the s200 but I dont need boost or two step. What I need is to have to tuner be able to make all the neccesary adjustments to my ecu that it will run very well. The other thing is I have a 95' d16z6 and ecu, do I need to buy anything else than the base system?

go Hondata S200!
Don't forget to add the cost of dyno tuning with either option you choose.

there is a guy in waldorf MD that does great work. I will probably let him do it. I am a bit scared of breaking in the engine without tuning it first. I really dont know what order I should do this, because I dont want to break it in on the dyno and i dont want to detonate while I am breaking it in untuned
