Default 85mm bore B-series people, piston options

I'm not sure if anyone has tried this, but you can run an OEM F20B piston if you have an 85mm bore. It creates 11:1 compression in a large H series head (53.3cc?) so in a b-series which is in the low 40s if I remember correctly it would make some high compression. Pretty big dome for an OEM piston. Of course availability is an issue. BTW F20B rods are 145mm long and have a prelude pin bore of 22mm and a big end bore of 48 and same width just like the B16A/B17A/B18

that would probably be pretty high compression in a CrVtec with tiny 42.7 cc chambers!

I had that idea a while back for the ECHC. Since the rules dictated all factory parts in the bottom end, the B20 VTEC engine was limited. Using a factory 85mm piston sounds nice, but there are certain things that need to be analyzed beforehand. valve angle/reliefs/pin size. If there are no rules against it, forged pistons will cost about the same in the end.
