Default Need a quick tip...plz (civic Axle nut)

Working on changing the axles on my 89 civic hatch. The nut on the end of the axle is cut and bent in?? Probably from factory.. Do I just pry out the folds and take off the big nut? Also why does my factory manual say I need 36 MM to take it off? That ended up too big and i think i need 32. Thanks.

Yeah bud it's a crimp to keep it from rotating/vibrating off. Those are on with some kinda force so have a breaker bar ready. My wimpy impact wouldn't do crap to that thing and I broke a ratchet before I got one off with a 3ft bar with pipe extension.

Yeah it is a dimpled nut just use a hammer and a punch and drive out the dimple. I can't remember exactly what the axle nut size is but 32mm sounds right.
