I painted some interior accents awhile ago and i did some things on my door panels but does anyone know how the armrest thing is the door comes out of the door panel? I want to take the carpet off and paint the plastic underneath.... But I cant figure out how to get the armrest out of the door panel without breaking anything.... Thank you...

 

go to the dealer ship. ask them to print out instructions. they did it for free last time I went.

 

the plastic on the back of the door panels are kinda melt/rivited in so you are going to have to melt it to get them apart. Also when you take the cloth off of the armrest you are going to have to sand down the glue to get a good surface to paint.

 

yeah taking it off its pretty simple just look at the back of the door panel and you can figure it out..... putting it back on... now thats a different story

 

Yea I used some washers and small screws to hold it back together.
