Default which route is cheaper?

My front end on my 94 GSR is riddled from rock chips from the previous owner. I can tell it has been painted because the red is a little darker up front than the rest of the car. Would it be cheaper to have it repainted up front or would it be cheaper to change to the 98+ front end, and get one that is already milano red?

It all depends...with the 98+, you need to get the headlights and corner lenses too, but sometimes you can find a great deal from somebody trying to get rid of all if it at once.

Painting the old bumper (not a crappy job) will probably cost like $250-350. You could probably find a 98+ conversion for that price.

Obviously if you get a crappy paint job, it's gonna be off still.

I guess I will go ahead and just paint the one that I have. However, I am worried that the paint is going to be a different shade than the rest of the car. Can paint shops lighten their paint up to make it match the rest of the car? Obviously, the paint on my 94 GSR is not as vibrant or dark as it was when it left the factory.
