Default need good alarm,specific

Is it really worth having a pager? Like Im not always going to hear my alarm because I live in a complex so would one be nessecary?
I want one that doesnt have a pager because there a hell of a lot less expensive but the thing is I dont have power locks or windows. >>biggest problem<< is that I have a hotwire kind of button theat you have to flick up and it triggers the starter then you turn the key and it starts. Should I get a pager alarm or not?

Need help

THanks

Also could anyone give me a few things I should look for for just a normal? All I want is something thats loud and goes off easy when someone touches my car.

Questions:
1. Say someones trying to steal my equipment. They try to break the glass and the alarm goes off, how long does that alarm stay on for? Cause if I dont hear it I might not turn it off til the next morning. And if it goes off byitself will it go off again if he comes back and touches it again?

Kinda dumb questions but Ive never really thought about alarms until my neighbours system got swiped and he had far less thn I had, so I got lucky once dont wanna press my luck

Thanks

Get a glass brake sensor. IF you use a center tap or a spark plug, you can easily brake the window w/o tripping the shock sensor.

Also, the outputs times for the sirens are programable on most alarms, but run default for around 30 seconds. And yes, if they come back and do it again it goes off again. Be warned though, the DEI Viper alarms have something called Nusense Prevention Technology (NPT) that will disable a sensor that's set off 3 times in 1 hour incase say you're parked in a parking deck and the vibrations set the alarm off. It will then ignore that sensor so ppl don't get pissed and/or your battery goes dead. BUt it will ignore that input for 1 hour. If 30 minutes into that hour it goes off again, it resets the ignore period for another full hour.

ya I guess thats what I mean, a glass break sensor. I know of people using spark plugs and Ive tried it myself in a junkyard when know one was looking and was quite amazed on hwo easily and how quite it demolished it.

Does anyone have a good alarm that on ebay for cheap they could link me to with the things i listed or can I just start throwing links in here?
