I put it here to get it out of the way.... what do you think?? I know the carpet is dirty, and that my gauge situation is a little screwy... making changes...

All del Sols came with stock tach. I don't see why you need a bigger one...I can understand maybe a shiftlight but ditch the tach. Other than that atleast you didn't mount it on your dash.
Edit: Stock tachs read about 1-300 rpm off as it is. Should have gotten a VAFC. :-/

I got a old skool Apex'i RSM... the grey/black one with amber l.e.d. for MPH. Works as a tach too.... guess I might as well ditch the autometer...
Well, this is now officially for the guys who have a sol, and have the tach mounted on the dash..... put it here atleast..

Too many guages... What are you running under the hood that you need some many guages to monitor ? Try the HKS C.A.M.P. system.
Is the shift light in the lower driver side fuse panel ? I see an Autometer blue cap for the shift light down there...
Also, bad location for that extinguisher, if ever deployed, the passenger airbag could push it into your pasenger's face... Not to mention, if you smack into something in the front of your car and there is an engine fire, what if the bag is blocking the way to that extinguisher ???

hey delslo do you know aaron turbo del sol man?
if you wanna see jetfighter gauges, i'll post a pic of my car once i take one. here's an old one...
i made a new bracket for the VAFC since then so that the RSM and the VAFC are both right over the AC controls
but seriously though... that tach is
it looks like it's less visible than the stock one

What I think is silly about that tach is where it is located. How can that honestly be comfortable having to look all the way in the corner of the dash? I'd feel like I wasn't paying enough attention to the road because your eyes have to move so far from the tach to the road ahead.
Also I don't get the chrome fire extenguisher thing, but if that's something you think makes the car cooler for you, then good for you - it's your car.

i couldnt see getting a tach like that unless my ride revved all the way up to 10k,. other wise the factory unit would be enough for me. As far as the location. it is "unique".

Yeah there was a guy on ClubSi who was proud about mounting the huge tach into his glove box.
