p. 10-4

It has a diatram of the hoses that go to the thermostat housing. The diagram has the hose that goes from the head to the housing at the outlet closest to the passenger's side. I believe this is incorrect, and it should be to the outlet closest to the intake manifold side.

Can anyone confirm this? I checked both mine and my buddy's itr's and they are how I describe, whereas the helms shows otherwise. I'm trying to be certain before I do them up wrong in my hatchback swap.....

That's what my 98 Helms shows also. I'll have to wait till tommorrow to go check on the car though.

.....not so, but I need a confirmation on an itr that hasn't been touched. Can you confirm how the hoses run on your itr? They haven't been touched by anyone, have they?

 

Just messing with you Ken. I went to check the ITR this morning and the way the Helms has the hoses in the diagram is incorrect. The hoses are they way you described.

 

I'll check at lunch when I stop at home.

 

What problems (if any) could occur if the hoses were hooked up incorrectly(same as p.10-4 in 98 teg helms)? I helped a friend with an itr swap and I know we followed that diagram. Will anything bad happen if it is not changed to the correct alignment? Thanks.
