Default how does this setup sound... if im missing anything please say so before this all gets done to my bo

its a gs-r
this is what he has done already
port and polished head, 3 angle valve job, shaved 30 thou, 01 itr cams, aem cam gears, dc sport headers, apexi n1 cat back exhaust,iceman cai

this is what he has planned to get done real soon
usdm itr pistons, skunk 2 mani, maybe some different cams.. hes not into racing alot he just want to be in the low 14 maybe high 13's do u think this setup will get him there or what? what do u think he should get or do?

I don't want to sound like a dick but a 3 angle valve job is stock.

well maybe it was a 5 angle....not 100% sure...

If your head and block deck are 0.030" closer then your cams are retarded just over 2 degrees. You'll need to advance them 2-3 degrees otherwise you're probably losing power.

You should also figure out if you have a 3 angle or 5 angle valve job before doing anything else, and that the shop that performed the valve job installed the valve springs to the correct installed height. Otherwise you're going to go nowhere with all those new pistons and hardware. Don't let people lead you to believe a stock 3 angle valve job sucks... it most certainly does not! I can guarantee you a stock 3 angle job will outflow a 5 angle job, any day.
