Default DSM bov fluttering question, FYI:I'm the king of searchs but still have a Q?

Ok, heres everything b18c1, internal wastegate t3/t04b, DSM sidemount intercooler and a DSM bov. I'm at 6psi right now.

My bov still flutters. I've looked through archived stuff. I've tried to clean it out, the bov has its own T off a vacuum line. I'm using 3/16 vacuum line, and I made sure they're on there tight. My boost gauge reads 20 on the vac side when I'm idling, so that seems ok. I was thinking maybe it was the low boost that I'm at, but through some of the searches members have said that their DSM bov still does a nice solid WHOOSH around that psi. Any other ideas would be much appreciated!!! help me out!

The only thing I can think of is to double check my charge pipes and make sure they're on there tight. But I'd like to here about an other experiences you guys have had.

this in no way is to be heard as a bash but....its a dsm stock bov right? they start to leak at 9psi and when crushed leak at 11psi...so im gonna go with its just that that bov isnt made to handle that much mass of air (not psi) being pushed by that big of a turbo. i suggest getting something like a greddy at the least tho id be more inclined to use what i have the hks ssv. i love mine and is incredibly easy to adjust and get rid of flutter.

well this is a 1gen DSM bov, and shouldn't have any leaking problems around 9 psi. Also there is a reason I went with a DSM bov, because it will work for my setup without spending a couple hundred for a Greddy, HKS, or Blitz bov. So I'd rather find out whats going on in my case, b/c others have gotten them to work and work well. Thanks for your input, but for now I'd like to keep the DSM and figure out whats wrong.

I don't think it's your charge piping. My friend had a vortec BOV that flutered all the time. sounded like a rattle snake we put on a type S and it sounds great, loud but great.

I rock a 1st gen dsm and it does sound woooshy like pouring water at 6-7 psi. at 8 and up it is really high pitched and shrill.

Have you checked the little return groove on the gasket surface of the valve? maybe it's not open enough or something.
