Default Removal of emission lines/canister on EG VX?

I was just wondering if it was possible to remove the emission lines and the canister and other items on a 1994 Civic Hatch VX..

Can it be done without any CELs and problems?

Where can I find more info on this?

Thanks for the space.

On a P28 there is no check engine lights but not sure about the stock ecu. Less weight, more room?

All removing the EGR is going to do is help you fail emissions, there's no reason to remove it, the components don't weight more than a quarter pound, if that. But you will throw a CEL 12 if it isn't hooked up, and your car will run like crap.

Hmmm...

My reasons are.. I broke a nipple off part of it, and figured it would make it easier..

I had a non-vx intake manifold and TB I wanted to put on for a little more breathing (power, ha..)

Clean the clutter up... not weight...

Just little reasons like that.

So I cant because of the EGR sensor? There is no way around that?

I live in Alabama.. we don't have emissions.. 90% of modded cars, trucks.. etc who daily drive do not have cats and are running test pipes. So most people here do drive around with them.

You could remove it.. dont forget to remove the Control box.. BUT you wont gain any performance at all.. infact you will have bigger problems esp since your car will throw a CEL 12. I think you shouldnt touch it.. just do a D16Z6 swap on it

people shouldn't use test pipes for daily driving. just cos u dont have emission tests in your area doesn't mean it isn't a problem. the power gains don't outweigh the environmental destruction you cause by removing a cat.
