Default b17 tranny different from b18c1 tranny? Swap possible swap?

Is it possible to swap a GSR c1 tranny onto a 1.7 vtec motor? How are the gears different if relavent? Has anybody done this swap? Tryin to help out a friend of mine.

id say the b17 tranny is more closer gearing to the b16 trannny.

the b17 tranny is also a cable tranny, the b18c1 tranny is hydro

B17 (YS1) trannies are pretty good for gearing, between a B16a and a GSR tranny, I think they are close to a Type-R tranny, gearing wise. Yes, they are cable too.
