i have a 90 crx si with a blown motor and i just bought a 94 Del sol Si that rolled over. the car starts up and runs beautifully! i am wonering how much work it would be for me to put the del sol motor into the crx if i have all of the parts (the whole car) and the car runs perfect but impossible to roll (body and suspension conditions). can i just take all of the harnesses and the ECU and put everything form the del sol into the crx??? it seems like no problem but i would appreciate any help. thanks! oh yah i have del sol parts for sale!

 

Does the sol have the d16z6? If so its not a hard swap. Just convert the crx to obd1, do some wiring and bolt it in.

 

yah a D16Z6. would i be able to take the complete wiring from the del sol and just connect it to the crx since the engine is running fine or would i have to rewire all of the crx parts onto the del sol wiring??? also the dash from the del sol looks a lot smaller than the crx dash.... am i right or would it fit into the crx???

 

it will work. the engine will fit fine. you will have to convert the car to obd1 for it to work. you'll have to wire up a few things on the d16z6 that the CRX doesn't have. if you got a conversion harness it should be fairly easy, becuase it will allow your CRX to plug right into the Del Sol ecu. you are going to have to use the transmission from the CRX, unless you want to convert your car to run the hydraulic trans. not sure on how hard that would be. hope that helps some.
