Default 8.5/24.5/13 slick and ACT clutch

Hey guys, I bought a set of M&H slicks(8.5/24.5/13) from John a little while back and I have yet to use them. The reason for this is that I'm not sure if my clutch would hold up and withstand the added traction these slicks would bring. The car is making 355HP and 239.9 ft-lbs of torque and I am currently using the ACT extreme pressure plate with the street disc. I am currently using a set of 8/22/15 slicks and have trouble hooking up. Do you think the clutch would hold up fine or not? Let me know what you guys think and why. Also what size slick should I continue running, 8/22/15 or 8.5/24.5/13. Thanks guys.

Clutch wont hold...same problem we had on SlowSi's car with similar power.

Unless you get the 4-Puck Disk...but the full-face street disk wont hold.

I think you will be fine especially with the race disk. He's only making 240 ft/lbs.

That's what I was thinking myself. I'm not making that much torque. I think I'll run a little more air pressure than usual on these slicks just in case. I'm willing to take the risk this weekend since it's the last race of the season and I need to beat my personal best. I've been running the same times over and over and I cant' beat them because of the traction problems I'm having. I'm willing to take the chance of breaking in order to beat my personal best E.T. Thanks to everyone who responded to my thread. If anyone else has anymore comments, please feel free to state them. I have one week to decide which slicks to run and I'll definitely be willing to listen to more opinions. Thanks.

my car made 310lb ft and the race disc lasted about 8 runs.all of the torque ratings on act's web page are at the flywheel

I'll definitely go ahead and check out the ACT website. I can't remember how much the extreme pressure plate w/ the race disk is suppose to handle. Man, I hope my street disk lasts at least three or four runs. This is a fairly new clutch. I installed it in March and I've attended about 6 races, averaging about 3-4 runs a race. Like I said before, this is the last race and I plan on replacing the clutch for next season since I plan to step it up.
