lowering springs on del sol
i just put 17's on my del sol and there's like a 2.5 inch gap betweent he wheel and the fender, looks pretty weird. i was looking at lowerin springs, either eibach or tein, if i get them is that all i need to lower my car like 1 inch. just the springs... ???
yea get eibach. i think they have like a 1 inch drop. they have like 3 versons....just get the 1inch ones. i just got the sportlines and it was 1.8 on my del and its soooooo damn perfect. but im also on 15's not monster 17's. but eibach's are the **** for the money.
Eibach isn't enough if you want to eliminate the wheel gap. You need atleast a 2-2.25 inch drop to do that. I'd suggest coilovers. I went with Ground-Controls and I love them. Don't cheap out on shocks either.

ditch the 17's. Just my opinion
But to contribute to the thread, you will prolly be happy with eibach sportlines, but do yourself a favor and get shocks at the same time, you will thank me later

i just put the 17s on becaues they were on my brother's old car and the stock wheels i have look gay. i'm thinking about 15 inch spoon sw388, 16 inch volk te37, 16 in konig traffiks, but if i get 15 or 16 inchers, id ont'k now how much to lower. would the wheel gap be bigger?
Usually when you install bigger rims the cars height is increased, so a good set of lowering springs or coilovers would lower it back down, though you may end up with the tire bottoming out on the top of the fenderwell. I once saw a guy with 18inchers on an EK civic who couldn't do a full circular turn on a wide open road due to the bigger rims rubbing against the fender and bottoming out.
