Getting a random Code 9 (Cylinder Postion TDC)
It happens around idle, I'll just be idling normally and then I'll get a slight little hiccup and bam code 9 comes up. If I restart the car it's gone, and it doesn't usually come back.
I have my idle screw way up so I idle around 1000 and I have crower stage 3 cams.
You think the lumpy cams are just cause a little choke now and again? Or you think it's wiring becuase it always disappears when I restart? TIA

You check the timing on the flywheel on an H22a. But what for anyway? If my crank timing was off I would be getting the code all the time would I not?

dont check base timing with a timing light on your motor. you need to use a scan tool. going on the fact that your car is obd1. first off if have you cleaned your engine bay with water, because water in the dist cap will throw a code nine all day long and cause a cyp sensor to go bad. but if not and your car is a true si vtec from honda then you probably need a distributor. now i am not one to through parts at cars. i always diagnose my problems then replace parts. saves money. but ive seen that code on older accords and it has always been a distributor. als if the dist. is aftermarket it will throw a code all day long.. and it is normal for it to clear itself when you turn off the car.. it is a soft code. and one more thing, i know you have a pe timing belt, i have seen an aftermarket belt (napa ect..) throw a code 9 because of belt stretch, but i doubt that is your problem because that pe belt is far superior to a napa. for a simple check i forgot about pull off you dist cap, if there is red dust in the cap you need a dist. asap. the cyp or ckp sensor is going bad and it will eventually cause the car not to start. i have seen this a ton on 92 -96 preludes and civics.

I'm OBDII actually...
Hmm guess I will check the cap for dust...it only seems to happen once in a while. Everything is normal, I've done nothing to cause it so it could be just the dist going bad slowly.
