Just came back from the track
My cousin just ran his eg hatchback w/a b16a2.He ran a best of 14.8 @94.Is this a bad time is it a average time for the b16a2 in a eg hatch.I thought he would run atleast a low 14. He has an aem cold air intake, dc sports header,Skunk2 exhaust, Skunk2 intake manifold and a chipped ecu. What are average times for b16a2's.I would reaklly appreciate any responses. He wants an ls block or a b20 block now since he is kind of upset.
i went to the track today and ran a 13.8 with a stock b16a2 in a eh2 hatch, to me a high 14 is not a good time for a b16.....check it out https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=645254
i think it depends on where you live and track conditions, i seen three b16 hatch's run in battle of the imports couple months back and none of them could break into the 14's. All with basic bolt ons
How about giving us the 60' foot time to see if he could improve upon his launch. Most if not all the stock b16's I've seen run are in the area of high 14's. B18c1 hit low 14's, and c5's hit high 13's. So he's in the area that most people run.
There are ofcourse exceptions, The B is probably one of them, as well as nsxmatt, and a few others. They run extremely fast times on relatively stock b16's. That is not the norm!

Hey you forgot to mention you had slicks.
By the way, I'd expect a little better then high 14's with your mods, your freind has a bit more then ihe. But looking at your mph, 94 mph is good enough for a mid 14 run, even perhaps 14.3 or 14.4 so if he can get a better launch, he can lower his time a bit more.

</TD></TR></TABLE> thanks man, No I really don't have an accurate weight of the car. If I had to guess it's around 2094(stock) + or - 150 pounds..... from the motor and break upgrade.
