98 GS-R motor
Is $2400 to good of a deal on a 98 GS-R motor, because I saw it in an ad, and thought there must be something wrong with the motor to be selling at that cheap price. What do you guys all think?

2400 is a pretty good deal for a complete changeover, especially one with only 35K. Sounds fishy to me, but i've heard of people getting it cheaper, so its not a totally unearthly deal.
Make sure you get some sort of guarantee that it will start and run for atleast a while, I'd do a compression test and all the other good stuff to make sure something isn't just waiting to blow up on you. good luck.

sometimes people like to say motors have alot less miles than they really have. He might say it has 35k miles hoping you think its stolen, but it might be a legit motor with 150k+ miles. You don't know with out the papers.
Get the number off the block located under the B18C1 stamp. Run that number with State Patrol, or someone equivalent to them. $2400 is a steal for a GSR. And ya, paperwork for sure. You'll want to see the history of mileage. Nice find though!
