Default Thermostat Question

Will putting a 160 degree thermostat in my car hurt it? I know it will burn more gas because it fools the ECU into thinking that the engine isn't warm yet therefore the ECU dumps more gas. My question is will it hurt anything besides my gas mileage?

Only your pocket book. The only two thermostats i have seen are Mugen and Spoon. $100 bucks! Do that and the coolant bypass and you could look at 6 or 7 hp gain easy.

jackson racing also has thermostats for integras and civics for about 20 bucks...

side note tho they are not made like the honda o.e. wich is how the mugen and spoon stats are..

be sure to buy the mugen fan switch also...

inlinefour.com has the best prices i have seen for the mugen stat and switch
