Is my timing right? *PICS*
Hey guys, just wondering if my timing is right. The left most circle lines up with the head. So does the right most. The left most and right most line up (two outer).The two inners are not exact (right cam gear faces slightly more downward). Is this normal?



Looks alittle off to me. I just did a cam gear install and tried to pay the most closest attention. i post a pic but cant remember how.

The cam gears are a little advanced.
Are you sure the crank is exactly at TDC? It could be a little advanced too.
Line up the cam gears until you feel they are at TDC #1, then check the alignment of the crank pulley. Should be dead on. If it's not, there's an issue, but correctable since you have adj cam gears.

the best way to see if your at TDC is remove all the plugs, insert a long extention holding on to it, turn the crank clockwise, you should feel it hit the extention pushing it up then down, do it again and right before it starts to go down your there. if the cams are off you should be able to turn them. What i did was just mark the belt and TDC tooth on the cam gear so if it was off i could see it. check C-speedracing for cam gear install they have pretty good pics too.
That's an ok but inaccurate method. You can still be off several degrees doing that.

yeah i know its alittle inaccurate that way but he be able to find TDC. As long as his timing marks are pointing up when he is at TDC it should be good. I suggest get a manual to be more indept. Everyone has there own way of doing things, I know before i put my cam gears on i did alot of searches and on other sites to explain things and give a more visual if they had pictures then you learn to understand what your doing.
