Crower street/race valve springs ok for toda spec b's?
I have some crower steet/race valve springs (part number 68185) and i wanted to know if I could use them with some toda b specs i just bought
theoretically yes, but always check the compressed height of the spring and then subtract the max lift of the cam which is 12.00mm for the toda b from the figure you got from the compressed spring this will give you the amount fo clearence you have. I like to see .035 but it seems like wth the 12.5 mm lift cams the springs always yiel between .020 to .025. This very close but has been ok for the most part.
your fine. If you seem to be worried about it then get a different valvetrain for peace of mind, but I have never heard of anything bad of them. what do you plan to rev to? what's your setup? I mean this can dictate if it can be safe to be run in your motor with your intention to rev high.
They'll be fine. That's the recommended spring for Crower 63403s that I run. That cam is very similar with a 12.04mm lift.
