do i need to fix this problem immediately? if i dont fix it will there be any long term problems.

 

if your 5th gear syncro is bad, I'd think that this should be fixed asap

 

Unless your shifting in andout of 5th on a constant basis and the grinding is buggin you, I see no reason to droop the trannyto only fix that. Wait until you have to replace the clutch. Then throw in a light flywheel and an ATS FD to make it worth your while.

 

that what i wa sthinking, when i shift 5th im gonna always shift below 3
