I am confused as ever right now. Skunk says ther B-series springs are rated to .495 max lift and suggest these springs for their stage three cams which have a max lift of .504 on the intake. .504 is like 13mm. Ok, so with at 12.5 mm lift these springs are only .19 away from binding. Isn't that way to close? Also, they are only showing 50lbs of pressure at the seat. I installed these at 1.320 which is factory installed height right?? What am I missign here. Do these springs need shims? Or is there a different installed height for them that I am not aware of and is the close to bind ok. Who here is runnign stage three skunk cams and their springs that can offer me insight.
Take it easy bro. Have a drink.
I am not running skunk2 springs, but it does look like they're close to binding on paper w/ those cams. .504 is 12.8mm btw. The seat pressure spec is 72# closed and 182#@10mm lift. I've never heard of anyone using shims with those springs and skunk2 stg3s. Those are the springs people run with the stg3s though. Perhaps you should give skunk2 a call for reassurance, and if that doesn't work run someone else's springs.

the drink idea was a great one. I will give skunk a call tomorow to see what the deal is. your right about about .504 being 12.8mm. I was just rounding up I guess. Could it perhaps be my method of checking for bind that is wrong. How do you go about it. I am taking measurement of spring at binding point and subtracting the max lift of the cam. is this correct?
