I need your help... so stressed out.
I was in the process of doing my mpfi swap. I ran into so many problems like hoses and stuff. My major problem today was the dizzy. The DX dizzy connector is different to the SI dizzy. One is 5 wire and the other is 7. I understand I need to extend both the blue wires on the SI dizzy to the ECU. My question is, how did you all compensate for the connector? This is my major problem. I already setup all the vaccum lines and coolant lines. I also finished installing the intake manifold. What I dont understand is, how come almost all the write ups are the same(from sport compact) and not one write up i read speaks of the dizzy. Can anyone tell me whats going on? TIA!
**EDIT**
I also forgot to add that I also have 2 green plugs and a brown plug left. Theres some sort of sensor on the rightt side of the intake mani and the connector looks like a different shape. Does anyone know what that is and how do I connect it?

The DX dist won't work with the MPFI set up.. you need a SI dist...
You maybe able to use an HF dist..but I can't confirm that..
I can say that the DX and the SI dist are different internally..

Still having problems and I have a check engine light. There is no L.E.D on my ecu. 1990 CRX(MT) PM6. Anyone know how to check the code?
I need to get my car out of a freinds house ASAP!!

OK. I finally got it running and it runs great but I still have a CEL! Also, what am I supposed to do with the Fast idle valve? There is no connector for me to connect it and the clips dont even match. ANy ideas?
thats the problem!! There is no L.E.D on the ecu and I dont know if I should solder a new one. Is there anyother way to check the codes like jumping any clips?
Would the fast idle be causing the code?
I dont really know if I'm running rich but the exhaust gases definitly does not smell the same. Has a strong smell to it now. Car runs good but sometimes the throttle cable makes the throttle body stuck at like 1500 or 2000 rpm.
Any ideas?

Re checked all my wiring. The weird this is, there are 2 white wires on the dizzy. if you flip it around one way, the car wont start but the check engine light goes away. If I flip it the other way, the will start but there will be a check engine light. All wires are hooked up correctly and so is the ecu side. I have no idea what to look for. As far as the ecu, hopefully I can get a L.E.D soldered on there to figure the code out but I cant do it untill Tuesday. Anyone else have any ideas on what to check? Does it matter that both of the yellow and black wires are not on the resistor box? I have only the thicker gauge on there and the smaller gauge is just hanging. Do I need to add that wire? Is it possible it may be causing the CEL? Again, the car runs and drives excellant. Just the annoying CEL.

I always solder the 2 YW/Black wires together and then with one pin add them to the injector box. No fast idle on the LS so you don't use it. Did you move C1, C2 to B10 B12 and add CYL sensor wire to C1 C2? Bl/YW Bl/GR? Did you switch the outer TPS wires around? Get an led on there for now. Fast idle if you have it is a cylinder shaped solenoid with a square 2 pin connector on the drivers side back of the intake manifold. Bl and Bl/YW
I did all the wire swaps. However, I did not use both yw/black wires. The sport compact mag said to use the bigger gauge YW/Black wire. Would that even cause a CEL? The ECU did not have a L.E.D and I cant check the code untill tomorrow after my job interview. I guess I'm going to have to solder the L.E.D but I will definitly try and wire up the smaller gauge YW/Black wire to the big gauge. Anyone else have any ideas?
