how do you take the Valvecover off a 89 accord?
If that old F20 is anything like any F22, F23, H22, H23, B16, B18, B20, ZC, etc... it's real easy.
Remove EGR and PCV piping. All the bolts are clearly visible or easy to find. Just take 'em out and off comes the valve cover. Be carful you don't let the big rubber gasket around the perimeter of the cover and around each spark plug hole fall off. And don't get any dirt in there.

Very simple. Just remove the 3 small nuts on the left, middle, and right sides of the valve cover and take off the ground wire. Remove the hose at the top, and the nuts from where the airbox is attached to the valvecover if it's a carb'd engine. This pic is of a carb'd engine. If it's an EFI, the hose is on the upper left hand side. Be careful as the gasket may stick some when taking it off. Installation is in the reverse order and remember to connect the ground wire
BTW--the '89 was either a A20A1 (carb'd) or A20A3 (EFI)
