Anybody seen those gameboy scoring/timing deals?
I saw this guy at VIR at the grand-am cup race that had some deal he plugged into his gameboy that "tapped" into the scoring and timing deal there at the track. it could display the cars # and position and lap times and other hoopla. looks pretty hot! supposedly it'll work at almost all tracks.
edit: the screen also went yellow when there was a caution out on track! bling!

When I was working the World Challenge race with Foo/Baxter, we tried to use an i-card for in race live timing. Fortunately, we brought stop watches too. The thing was constantly behind. With the added cost, of it, plus the game boy, it's hardly worth it. I'd think there's got to be a better way.

My wife used it to keep track of my competition in SSC during qualifying. Ours kicked up times withing a couple seconds as long as we had a good signal. If the signal was weak or sporadic you had to wait for the icard software to update and that took a couple of minutes.
