Default Would amplifying my 4 speakers add lots of solid bass too?

here is my current setup in my civic coupe

Alpine CDA 9811 headunit [23 watts RMS/50 watts peak x 4 channels]
Polk EX365 [6 ½ inch 60 watts RMS/180 watts peak (4 ohms)] front speakers
Polk dB690 [6x9 inch 100 watts RMS/300 watts peak (4 ohms)] rear speakers

I have enough money to either get one 10" alpine type r sub with amp and everything installed, or i can get a 60watts rms x 4 channel amp with wiring and installed for about the same price.

my question is, if i do the 4 channel amping, would my speakers put out solid hard bass? like my friend's components in his jetta? because i listen to more rock than rap, i was thinking if i can compromise the subs and instead just get solid nice bass from my speakers i would rather do that.

what do you all think?

If you want bass, get a sub.

If you're looking for bass that everyone can hear... then get the sub. If you're looking music for you to jam with. Get the amp, and consider getting the sub. Just have the speakers wired in 2ohm stereo to play on front channel of the amp and 4ohm mono for the sub. This way, you can have that one 4channel amp do it all. *NOTE - make sure you have a quality amp that is 2ohm stereo capable. Also by having it wired this way you will have no fader control with the inside speakers. Front fader will be the inside speakers and Rear fader will be the sub.

Amp'ing your 4 speakers will add more bass...But if your talking about a solid sub bass than i do not think its going to be the same.
**But it would definately make your speakers sound way better...But make sure you get a good amp that has enough watts to split b/t those 4 speakers....If you get a amp with not as much watts than when you hook it up to your 4 speakers it would not sound much differently.
