previous owner bolt it on over a jdm 4-1 and went from 12.2 to 11.99... $500.

How old is that header? I've seen alot of SMSP headers in person, and the welds usually look a little cleaner? Is that a really old SMSP header? It looks pretty cool.

Actually it was my 3rd side exit. The welds aren't pretty, some were even mig welded , but it looks like they are holding up. GhettoRacer's price reflects no true merge collector and lack of 100% tig welding. I believe I made it with my pseudo merge where I formed the tubes into a point versus cutting them off flush (i.e jdm itr 4-1). It ain't pretty but if you go down the track faster, do you care what it looks like? I glad to say my current offerings also look very nice.

regarding this header - i know this is kind of a vague or hard to answer question - but realistically is this header suitable to use on a mildly built engine, ie - gsr block with itr pistons, itr head, jun type 2 cams? would this be worth it to put on a setup like that and still see some power gains

sorry for asking dave a question on your thread ghettoracer but hopefully his answer will help sell your header, thanks
