Type-R version will be available on 30 of August 2001. Due to the weak sales of the S2000, as much in the Europe, as in Japan, Honda will introduce Type-R version. Engine size will probably be enlarged to somewhere between 2.3L and 2.5L and the output should be close to 300HP. Also a sequential automatic box is expected.

don't believe everything you read

 

I was just asking a friend of mine about a Type R S2000. I was curious if there was such a thing. But, I wouldn't hold my breath of us actually getting them. Considering today is the 30th, I doubt they'll have any on the Honda lots.
